Who we are
Founded in 2002, and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006, Japaninvest Group plc provides 150 institutional investor clients across the globe with high quality, independent and in depth Japanese equity market research. We have published over 2000 reports on 500 companies since 2003. In June 2010 Japaninvest entered into a research and trading alliance with Societe Generale, the French global financial services giant. Under the terms of this exclusive research provision deal, SG will provide JI research as part of a fully bundled service, backed by the existing Japaninvest sales team. The option remains for clients to receive the Japaninvest product via existing CSA arrangements. Japaninvest Group has offices in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Our Philosophy
Our Group believes that product origination and product evaluation are distinct client services and should be treated as such. This approach avoids conflicts of interest of the sort which have now had worldwide systemic repercussions. The firm's resources are focused on client service. Our alliance partner Societe Generale is committed to maintaining the editorial independence of the Japaninvest product offering.

Our clients are investing institutions, not corporates with financing requirements. We believe that institutions (and their underlying investing customers) deserve nothing less than access to impartial research and confidential high quality execution services.
