PORT

PORT is the software package developed by IND-X to provide high quality on line commission management services. It took over two years of development work. Trades are input into PORT on settlement, and the resultant commissions can be allocated to multiple or individual commission credit pots. The commission pot structure allows institutional clients to pre cost their research budgets if they wish to provide enhanced disclosure. These commission pots can be monitored on line, via a sophisticated permissioning system, and payment instructions can also be processed on line. All the trades which gave rise to the commissions can be sorted by executing broker, stock code, commission credits and other variables. A separate module allows the institutional client to decide what information on commissions and executions they wish their research broker relationships to have access to. Importantly clients have the option to request that commissions be held in a client money account, pending payment.
